Hyderabad City Strategist Awards - 2009
NSPriyadarshini - 7 October, 2009 | urban development | Hyderabad | Review
I have visited this site www.citizensforcity.org and found this very interesting.
I am sure all of us have stories based on experiences as we travel through the lanes of Hyderabad. And, at least once we could have felt when we can have better roads, non-stinking sidewalks, and people respecting the traffic rules and so on so forth.
Finally I found an answer and this website is truly a rescuer.
First time in the history of India, a common man can drive the initiatives towards the development of the city in coordination with the Government. This is one kind of an event where every Citizen of Hyderabad is given this unique opportunity to look at the problems prevailing in the city and ideate an innovative and a feasible solution which can be converted into a strategy for the development of the City.
Citizens for City capitalizes on the ideas of the citizens towards the Hyderabad City Development and in-turn pushes the government to implement these ideas. Additionally, winners in this event will gain a greater mileage by gaining great amount of recognition and a place to implement their winning strategy with the help of government.
Anyone who is a True Hyderabadi at Heart is eligible to participate in this event. One can get recognized and rewarded for the best feasible strategy with the prize money worth one Lakh, media coverage, publications, and implementing your winning strategy with the help of the government. Best 30 strategies will gain entry into the Sculpt Your City Publication.
Isn't it exciting to know such an initiative? I am quite excited and pulling my sleeves to submit my strategy. How many of you are ready to compete with me and work towards taking Hyderabad to the Next level.
I HAVE VISION, THAT HYDERABAD SHOULD BE THE BEST METRO IN INDIA! AND I AM WORKING TOWARDS IT....ARE YOU???

pure promotion post

Starts with a link, and ends with the same link. This sounds like a simple post to promote a mean (a new website) than the cause (come do something for the city).
Just posting this warning, and have flagged this post for moderationin just in case other moderator concur with me.
The eventual website that this link leads to is filled with ads and promoters pictures. I was hoping to see another nice praja or janaagraha like site, and didn't expect to be bombarded by ads from sponsors and partners.
A pure promotion post getting 6 votes!!
