Padakali, an initiative to teach people Kannada, one word at a time, has grown from an intra office learning group to a regularly updated web resource for Kannada language in a little under eight months.  Our previous post on Padakali is here.

It now serves 700 plus users, a new Kannada word everyday with its common usages and pronunciation, on email.  Users can listen to the audio and learn pronunciation of the words and their usages. These audio files are free for download and can be shared with anyone.  A suggest a word feature has been developed to get ideas from people regarding the words and phrases they would like to learn. A particularly successful feature of the site is the Random word page where users can spend time learning new words one by one.

Feel free to let us know what you think of the site and let us know if you have any suggestions.

If you have any ideas with regards to using the content on padakali to develop a web or mobile app or for any offline usage, please write to contact [At] Padakali [dot] com.
