A curse called "Address Proof"
Pravsee - 8 December, 2012 | Bangalore | Analysis | passport renewal | Address Proof
I believe the constituion of India has a clause that says something to the effect of "All citizens are equal and should be treated equally". In reality, this is not followed though.
I am a law abiding citizen but I don't live in a house. Is that a problem? I guess no. I live up in the mountains in the Himalayas and go wherever life takes me. I camp by the lakes, I live in jungles and sleep on the beaches. I am a free spirited person and I have an allergy living in confined spaces.
I am still a law abiding citizen performing all my duties as a citizen.
I just need a passport to travel abroad and it looks like this country isn't ready to issue me one as I don't have an address proof.
Also, I dream of driving a motor vehicle one day. It looks like that is also impossible because I don't live in a house and hence don't have an address proof.
Fellow citizens, please support me in obtaining these documents and let me know what legal course I can take against the government of India.
