City will soon lose Infosys edge to Pune [BM]

Growth of Bangalore has been phenomenal in the past several decades. It all started with Mr. SM Krishna when he was the Chief Minister of Karnataka. The Bagmane Tech Park came up near GTRE and behind LRDE both DRDO Labs. This growth of our capital city is perhaps slowing down when one sees unoccupied multi story commercial building unoccupied for several months / years, in 2011. Traffic has become an issue with the unprecedented growth of the city towards a megacity stature. As a scientist I feel that there must be an optimum size that a city should grow and consolidate. Any further development should be discouraged and if need be shifted to other suitable cities of the state. In this connection I find Bangalore mirror cover story by Sameer Ranjan Bakshi in appropriate. However the story needs to be put in the way it is in view of enhancing the circulation of the paper.
