Interesting film on traffic management and shared space.

I came across this intresting article on the conversion of a major junction in to what is known as `shared space' - making it easier for pedestrians to cross and vehicles to cross - by removing traffic lights. One place which I can immediately think off which is in desparate need of change is the Cantonment station junction - which is one of the most stupid and disastrous junctions in the city. In a recent survey Bangalore showed up as 9th out of 11th cities in India as far as quality of life went - one of the lowest after being considered the best city in India for a while - but what was surprising was they claimed it scored high on `Urban planning'!
