Now authorites should focus on the mass public transport system, in this way Commuter Rail will provide good public Transport with METRO and BMTC integration.

Slowaly now public will realise how important to have Commuter Rail for Bangalorecity with MTERO and BMTC integration.

Sanjeev - I would say that your post should have read - public transport way to go after auto fares go up.

Commuter Rail is an option for longer range connectivity (from sub urban areas), where as autos are for local, mostly last mile connectivity. BMTC is the likely beneficiary of high auto fares, as people may prefer Buses for longer commute in the city. From that angle, I would say higher auto fares are a good thing.

Even with commuter rail, you would need last mile connect. Could happen via Buses, or Auto, or both.
