If you are reading newspapers carefully, education bagge thumba yochane  is happening. I think there are at least 3 think tanks working overtime. Mr Kapil Sibal's "don't be afraid, love your school" line of thinking, National Knowledge Commission reports, and back home, a Karnataka knowledge commission is also active. Before you read more, answer some quiz questions.

Q Is education a state subject?

A No

Q Was education a state subject?

A Yes

Q when was education transferred to concurrent list?

A Via an amendment to the constitution in 1975/1976

So now, what happens when?

  • State's object to Mr Kapil sibal's suggestions
  • Or, of National Knowledge Commission and Karnataka KC provide conflicting directions?

Not trying to criticize Mr sibal, NKC, or KKC. Just trying to check if Prajagalu are following this subject. So I will leave a lot of things unsaid right now. After all education is the foundation for everything else.

For items on concurrent list they have to fall in line.

  • Or, of National Knowledge Commission and Karnataka KC provide conflicting directions?

NKC should get to decide. KKC can either take a walk or lobby with NKC to get their recommendations included.
