Bangalore rename : -ooru or -uru?

The renaming thing is almost done. Did you see the "official" spelling submitted to central govt for approval? It is Bengaluru, not Bengalooru. Shouldn't it be -ooru if one really wants all non native speakers to say it the right way?

I wish our politicians could do better than naming and renaming our cities.... Whether it's Bangalore or Bengaluru....which to me sounds sooo not up to the cosmopolitian city that we stand for....any which ways i hope people and politicians work together towards developing the city for the better which by far has crossed ever barrier of being the most unsafe and unhealthy place to live. I guess Bangalore has earned the title of Garbage City from Garden City...Wake up people a change is needed.....
