bidding for bidadi

I thought there was a formal bidding process for Bidadi township. They way only DLF was left standing at the end of it did seem a bit odd, but do you have any other basis (rumor!?) for saying that the township is being built by DG's family?
Why 23 others backed out ...

http://bangalore.praja.in/discuss/2007/06/satellite-towns#comment-60 There were 24 bidders, 23 backed out. Why? ... because many companies felt that the project could be a non-starter in the light of political instability. The land compensation, rehabilitation and resettlement package announced for the displaced families made it unviable. A top executive of a company, short listed for the second round but did not bid, said: “The package is too exorbitant to implement and the developer will suffer losses.” Further, a few of them felt that the project had too many constraints. “Land would be released in phases and that too on lease. Where do we get funds for leased land? Besides, the developer will not be insulated from legal and environmental issues that could crop up at later stages.” ----------- So the next question is why did DLF stick with it?

http://www.deccanherald.com./Content/Jan42008/scroll2008010444799.asp?section=updatenews Actually feel better that this is happened this way! Also, this needs to be made big news and the papers should create front page stories because of the huge sums money involved! Wish MLA's from north karnataka could do a Bidadi/Ramanagaram for their consituencies, I mean the positive things that have happened there! Ramanagarm made to a dist. is not in the good list nor DLF!
which family is investing through mauritius company?????
