Citizens' Action Forum (CAF) has organized an interactive meeting with the political party leaders of the State parties, at 4 PM, on 1st May 2008, at the R V College Auditorium at 2nd Block Jayanagar, Bangalore 560 011.

Mr. Venkatachalaiah has kindly consented to preside over the program. Major political parties have confirmed their participation.

This meeting is to present the Citizens’ Charter to the political parties and seek their acceptance of the same. We shall also present the various issues that you have evolved over many days of discussions, at various times and finalized at the meeting on 20th April 2008.

The entire proceedings shall be video recorded and preserved for use AFTER the elections, when we shall call the parties and elected reps to assess their performance against the commitments and promises now being made.

This is NOT a meeting for either discussing party manifestos or their past performance, but merely to get them to commit to the Charter and state their respective positions on the issues raised by citizens.

We request you to come in large numbers to show the strength & passion of the aware and concerned citizenry of Bengaluru for good, responsive and responsible governance of a government installed through issue-based clean elections.
