Public Affairs Centre expresses great pleasure in inviting you to an open house on RTI Youth Initiative - to be held on Saturday, 27th September 2008 at Rotary House of Friendship, Lavelle Road, (next to Hotel Rama), Bangalore 560 001 between 3.30 pm to 5.45 pm.
Shri K.K.Mishra, Chief Information Commissioner, Karnataka State Information Commission has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The RTI Youth Initiative is an initiative of the Public Affairs Centre which involved a group of six students of law and business management from three colleges who came together to study the implementation efficacy of RTI in 53 government agencies in Bangalore - local, state and central. The study, not only focused on the constraints and experiences of Public Information Officers (PIOs) who are at the cutting edge of RTI implementation from the supply side as well as the degree of compliance of these agencies with the suo moto provisions of the RTI Act 2005. The open event will showcase experiences of these students and create a forum to share the findings of their study with government officials, RTI activists and the media. The event will also serve as an opportunity to a Panel of PIOs to publicly share their perspectives on the various dimensions of RTI.
PAC requests you to participate in the meeting, encourage youth and give your valuable suggestions.
Also request you to forward this invite to your friends and association members.
