Water and a City

A documentary film about Bangalore’s relationship with water

Synopsis:

With growing urbanization across India, many towns and cities are crying for more water. How much of the perceived shortage of water is due to a lack of resources, and how much due to lack of awareness and poor management?

Located in Bangalore, India’s IT capital, the film traces the journey of water into and out of urban homes. Along this journey, it looks at access to water for the poor, the politics of water pricing, urban India’s continuous exploitation of natural resources, and explores possible alternatives for a sustainable water future.

Directed by: Swati Dandekar

Duration: 52 minutes

Language: Kannada and English (English subtitles)

I'll be leaving Koramangala at 4.20Pm, and heading to IISc via Viveknagar, Vellara jn, St Mark's Rd, GPO, Cauvery theatre, Bhashyam circle. If anyone wants to join along the way, please fix up by calling on 98450 75543.

I can deviate via Domlur if anyone from Indiranagar/ Whitefield side wants to join me at Shanti Sagar ( Domlur).

And, can somebody guide me to this "Golden Jubilee Seminar Hall", please? Firstly, is it in the main campus or on the CISTUP side?

PS: Mr A Ravindra has also offered to be on the panel if he manages to reach the city well in time (from Hubli, I believe).
