kbsyed61 - 16 June, 2014 | Bangalore | Bengaluru | public transport | Commuter rail | Commuter rail | Suburban Rail | Railway Minister | Onlien Petition | D. V. Sadananda Gowda

Dear Prajagale, Namaskara,

With less than 2 weeks to go for finalization of Railway budget, there is tremendous opportunity for all of us to reach out the new railway minister Shri. D. V. Sadananda Gowda, urging him to approve the pending 'Bengaluru Suburban Rail' project. We have been told that there is tremendous pressure to not include any of the new project in the upcoming railway budget. But we are hopeful that DVS would consider it on its importance and merit. In that context it is very important that we reach out to him.

Praja's Namma Railu team along with Bengaluru Needs You have launched an online petition to gather at least 10,000 (Ten Thousand) signatures before the end of this month. I do hope that each one of Praja's registered member would rise to the occasion and sign this petition.

The online petition is available here - Online Petition for Namma Railu

Please sign it, publicize among all your family and friends. We can do it. if each one of us abe to get 10 signatures, we will be able to reach 80K signatures. This is a test for Praja member's claim of supporting sustainable solutions.

Can we? YES WE CAN.............

People here are mostly

amithpallavoor - 21 June, 2014 - 04:53

People here are mostly ignoramuses or indifferent. I found it hard to explain to people as to what suburban rail is and how it is different from Metro. Some great intellectuals who are mostly right wing feel it is a waste of public money. The same right wing intellectuals believe 26,000 crores is on Metro is worthwhile.

Amith,

There is no escape from such poeple who does nothing but loves criticizing. They have all the excuses to NOT to come forward and spare few moments for any public cause. Just ignore them and carry on your good work.

We have also seen such forces and dealt with it by continuing to carry the campaign for last 3 yrs.

Hum Honge Kamayab Ek Din..................

The support of all these

amithpallavoor - 3 July, 2014 - 03:58

The support of all these industrial groups in Hoskote and Narsapura is required for the much delayed Whitefield Kolar link with a station at Narsapura.

Its time, Bangalore University students and their staff looks at the Commuter Rail / Suburban Rail option and they have all the infrastructure like station available, need FOB, PF shelter, proper Ticketing counter with reservation counter, access to the station from University campus with providing stops for all passengers trains

Thanks to Minister Vinay Kumar Sorke in requesting Center on the Suburban Rail Also Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda efforts should get the project approved this time
