As we see via the BMLTA meeting records (http://www.bmlta.org/sites/default/files/Proceedings_6th_Meeting_BMLTA.pdf), IDD (Mr V Madhu) seems to be batting for Commuter Rail. Let us plan the first meeting with him.

We need more guys to join the project though. Don't care at this time whether it is possible or not. Just join in and raise the pitch on this issue, ashtay.

Meeting with Mr Madhu, IDD

Sanjeev - 26 February, 2010 - 04:01

I tried to speak to   IDD & BMLTA  last on the report submission within 60 days by IDD for CRS, they are clueless on this. As the deadline to submit the report was on 18th Jan'2010.

Here  is the Chief Minister statement  on Local Trains not announcing for B'lore in DNA

BMLTA follow up

Sanjeev - 26 February, 2010 - 13:38

Pranava :

I am following up  with BMLTA officials on the  minitues of meeting of Sub-Commitee held on 18th Dec'2009. Mr Revanna of  BMLTA . As this is not uploaded in BMLTA website & one which is uploaded under Sub Committee of  Bangalore Traffic And Transport  Initiative  file is not opening.

Also I spoke to Mr Ramesh Jt Secretary of IDD last week on CRS. His response was very cold & he put the issue to SWR saying  they have written letter in Jan'2009 & agreed to deposit amount of Rs 4.95 Crore per Rake to start Suburrban Trains. When asked him spcifically  for how many Rakes you are going to Depost the amount, he was cluless.

Last week I tried to speak to Mr S K Gupta, SWR GM's secretary at Hubli on the status of the CRS approval, he does not care for this. Also couple of  emails sent last month, their is no response from DRM/ SWR  Blore, GM/ SWR Hubli.

Then spoke to Sr Div Operational Manager office at B'lore on this,  it seems matter is under discussion & nothing has been finalised.

We need to file RTII application with SWR on the CRS starting, I want to File the RTI application to SWR Hubli or Railway Delhi. If you can guide me on this  I will do it.

MoS Mr K H Muniyappa  has once again announced that Train to Devanahalli, Anekal will be started by 31st March'10.

As K H Muniyappa mentioned State is not coming forward to extend the track to BIAL terminal.  It looks the fight between CM & K H Muniyappa now who will get the Credit of starting full fledge  Local Trains.

http://www.dnaindia.com/bangalore/report_to-board-a-flight-catch-a-train-to-bia-from-march_1353547

Now state has come forward to share the 50% cost of CRS . CM Yeddyurappa is going to write a leeter to Raiwlay Minister on this soon to give the green signal on cost sharing basis to start.  Now  CRS is getting kicked between CM Yeddyurappa,                              MoS K H Muniyappa &  MP  H N  Ananth Kumar.

These  three people can make real difference for CRS.  If we can bring thsee three people on a singl platform for discussion on CRS, things will really start.

Now we should file RTI with Chief Minister office for the  letter  ( which will be sent in a few days )  to Railway minister for the Local Trains & sharing of  50% cost. & to follow up

Politicians make promises on rail connectivity in the city

Also BBMP election is bringing the Local / Suburban Train issue into dicussion. Its right time, we Praja  all of us make this issue   into more public discussion   & push these so called Political parties & persons to put the project into action.

Meeting with Mr V Madhu

Sanjeev - 17 March, 2010 - 12:11

Any progress on getting appointment with  Mr V Madhu for meeting, as we need to meet him at the earliest so that  we can impress him on further spare capacity exists on Yelahanaka to Chikballapur, Yesvanthapur to Nelamanagala.  As such SWR can start DEMU train from Bangalore to Nelamangala instead of passager trains as announced in the budget.

Also Nelamangala to Anekal DEMU services can start along with Yesvanthpur & Nelamangala to Devanhallai DEMU services also .
