Hi, The planned gauge conversion of the existing Kolar-Chikballapur line appears meaningless & expensive since one wonders how useful it would be. How many trains will actually be run ? How many people will eventually travel between these two towns ?

So the routes, at least the end points, are finally out from the DPR for PH II. I still dont understand what makes the DMRCL a better authority to develop these reports, no Idea of what traffic studies were done and what surveys were done..never heard of any..thought these are the basic inputs for putting out a plan report.. |

Transport Infrastructure Projects for Bengaluru Progressing nowhere Vasanth - 29-NOV-2014
Infrastructure projects related to Projects mainly Commuter Rail, Light Rail, Monorail and BRTS is not progressing anywhere. Both the earlier BJP and Congress Governments have forgotten the CTTP reports and the recent survey done by a UK based company which already had prepared DPR for the light rail on the western half of Outer Ring Road and Magadi Road. |
