After about 3000 responses, here is how the results look like. The results are a function of how the poll was structured, and remember, this reflects the sentiments of urban, online populace of the city. Regardless, instead of analyzing this in various ways ourselves, why don't we leave it to readers and members to make sense of thes numbers. In case you are not very good with numbers, we have highlighted the top 3-4 items in each category :)

He picked out a few statements from CPI-M's new election website, and argued that a few of them are not supported by facts, or even observations. Voter ID - Corrections required or not?

Prajagale one question. My voter id has error. Address is not perfect (wrong pin), and name has spelling mistake. I can go vote with this hale Voter ID (used it last year, without problem)? Or we should go for new Voter Id with mistakes corrected?

81% 'below poverty line' in the state!

With elections on the horizon, the Yeddyurappa government directed the food and civil supplies department to give BPL ration cards to whoever produced an affidavit. Of the total 1.32 crore families in the state, today 1.07 crore, or 81% claim to be living below poverty line just to get access to the card!

Here is how the top issues look right now (March 4) in the ongoing issue survey. If you haven't fill the survey out yet, please do so ASAP. We'll start our candidate interviews very shortly, so its important to build an "as popular" top issue list as possible.

The attack on Mumbai on 26/11 was meant to undermine India. Instead it has lead to a new political awakening. As the initial shock and anger against our politicians died down we realized that our disengagement from the political process was part of the problem. And the solution lay in getting engaged; else we only have ourselves to blame.  Politics is too important to be left solely to politicians!
