BBMP has come out with notification to demand property tax from citizens of bangalore, for the current year. However when the citizens in the newly added areas approach the help centres identified for the collection of taxes, they are compelled to pay the arrear taxes due to erstwhile CMC, which is no more existing. |

I moved into an apartment complex in S T Bed layout, Koramangala, about 4 years back. The layout was developed by BDA over a decade back on Sinivagilu tank bed, quite as per the widely prevalent practice then. For a layout on a tank bed, the drainage work done by BDA was totally inadequate, and as a result, the asphalting on the roads progressively deteriorated, making the drive through the layout worse than a ride on a camel back. |

Over the last 4 years I have been reading about articles in the news papers about the diminishing lakes in Blore. Once the city was proud to have hundreds of lakes, now has only 60+ lakes. I don't have exact statistics but what I know is Lake development Autority was once formed and they are doing the maintaining or for privatization of lakes. |

To day while crossing the 100 feet road in Indiranagar I heard an elderly person advising an elderly couple to avoid walking on 100 ft road, referring to the recent accident at 100 ft road. The man remarked that they were well aware of the incident. He seemed not to appreciate the advice. |

I just returned from a trip to Mumbai and was quite impressed by how much the city has improved in the last one year. While of course most of the city is still in really bad shape large parts have been improved in several ways |

The garbage collection has stopped happening at my apartment a few weeks ago. The people who used to come to do it were demanding 50 Rs per house per month! |
