Let us know what is your experiences on this? 1) What makes you really change lanes though you are at right speed and right lane? 2) What makes you honk though you are a DD. |

BWSSB emulating the Mysore example? murali772 - 16-FEB-2011
BWSSB is going for a complete overhaul of its pipelines to check water leakage; 60,000 of the 1.05 lakh water meters in Bangalore South will be replaced; 145 km length of pipelines will be replaced for this pilot project. The target is to bring down the leakage from the current 36% to 16%. Work will begin in three months. |

Need for road divider on St Johns Church Road balu036 - 16-FEB-2011
St Johns Church Road is a major road leading to Mekhri Circle, Peenya and BIAL. The stretch from Bharatinagar Police Station to Coles Park is a crucial stretch with a lot of schools in the nearby location. Unfortunately due to lack of a road divider, there is no lane discipline on this stretch. |

Srivathsa mailed in this report from his drive to Devenahalli yesterday: "Drove yesterday to Devanahalli on some other work. The road after Hebbal flyover is in pretty good shape. There are no real bottlenecks there - but a number of potential accident zones. The real bottlenecks are at Cauvery theatre, then the stretch along UAS or just before that. Very narrow roads with a number of right turns and intersections. Some serious de-bottlenecking needs to be done along this stretch. Once past Hebbal - a grade separator is needed at the entry to yelahanka town. Of course a really bad accident will probably have to happen before something gets done. Then along the way there are a number of intersections where grade separators as well as pedestrian overpasses are needed. They also need to plan some elevated U-turns. |

The goal of the blogathan is to bring more people to Praja, and expand the content of the site and to bring more projects to the site. We are aiming to have this event in July, current date is July 16th. The date isn't set it stone but we figured it is a good place to start. |
