BMRDA - dead, defunct, or dormant?

silkboard - 18-OCT-2012

No news is good news is how some say it. Hope it applies to BMRDA as well. Do a news search on BMRDA, you see nothing. The only thing new on their website recently is a list of "un-authorized approved" layouts. Wonder what that means, approved, but not authorized, hmm.

Money for BBMP from Cable/Fibre operators

silkboard - 16-OCT-2012

On some forums etc, I am surprised to see people object to BBMP looking to charge Fibre/Cable operators for using trees, poles, sewrage lines, road side trenches etc. Why not? Leave the part about these guys (esp the cable operators) weaving an ugly tangled web around us (look up anywhere in the city, and you will see).

I am reproducing below, relevant extracts of mail exchanges on the subject in "OneBengaluru Google-group" (there is an unwritten code in the group that such involved discussions should not be encouraged, and that it is meant largely for exchanging information - well, I guess, that's where PRAJA comes in):

Why is the link to "code of conduct" on the CREDAI site not functional?

murali772 - 2-OCT-2012

The CREDAI, Bangalore (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India) site is accessible here. Listed amongst various links on it is one on "code of conduct". But, if you click on it, it just takes you in circles.

The 1 Rupee Dilemma

rahulganesh - 18-SEP-2012

The 1 Rupee Dilemma is how i would call it.

The board a Bus from Jeevanahalli to Shivajinagar on a regular basis. The cost of the Bus ticket is Rs 9.

BMTC Strike - what have we learnt?

idontspam - 13-SEP-2012

Public Transport in Bangalore today means Bus which is solely run by BMTC. During business as usual this looks good but its in crisis situations like todays strike that the deficit of not investing in multiple modes or using modern methodologies of running operations can hurt.
