This video was taken on 13/09/2008 between 10:30 and 11:00 am on Indiranagar 100ft Road, Bangalore. Starting from Wills showroom upto Flyover and back from flyover upto Axis Bank on the other side. Offices/Shops are just about opening and footpaths are fairly free. |
BBMPs Chikungunya/Dengue mosquito breeding centre in Indiranagar balu036 - 23-SEP-2008
The attached video is of a Chikungunya/ Dengue Mosquitos breeding centre at 14th Cross, Indiranagar 2nd Stage, Bangalore 560038, which is flourishing thanks to the laxity of Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (the authority in charge of ensuring public health and drainage maintenance). Water stagnates in this drain and no action is taken to clear its choking. Now it has become a breeding place for mosiqutos. Chikungunya has broken out in Karnataka and it seems BBMP is only facilitating spreading of such diseases. |

Signs for Proposed Bus Stops that have sprung around the city ashwin - 2-SEP-2008
In most places, these are next to existing bus shelters. There seems to be a connection with the Airport bus service as these signs are often next to the sing announcing the frequency of the BIAS routes, like in the photo (the existing bus shelter was behind me as I took the photo). |

Lot of Bangalore IT companies develop software for American, UK or German insurance companies. But, our own country is deprived of these kind of insurance to all. People who work in IT are covered by their companies. Government employees are covered by some schemes or the other. Few factories are covered by CGHS scheme. |
