silkboard - 1-OCT-2010

First things first. If you don't like BRT, think it absolutely can't be done, please keep out, and discuss on other posts. Sunil Kumar - 23-SEP-2010

This morning I was passing by Shanthinagar & noticed the full fledge arrangements for the TTMC opening today & my bus was also not allowed to enter the bus stand. Noticed the TTMC work is far from completion but the inguration was scheduled today. I still dont understand the Shanthinagar bus stand currently is just in line with a Jayanagar or Kengeri TTMC.

silkboard - 19-SEP-2010

An interesting stat in the data sets from Traffic police - despite all the negative talk about BMTC drivers (tabloids love it), motor cycles accidents result in more deaths on city roads than BMTC buses. Further, tractors cause more deaths on city roads than taxis and maxi cabs combined. So much for the yellow plate trash talk :)

Vajra/Volvos doing well

Times of India reports that Volvo's are doing well now:

Red Board buses v/s Black board buses

ss87 - 9-SEP-2010

BMTC's ordinary services are of 2 types-the red board catering to the suburban areas and the black board catering to the city areas. By the way of passes the red board passes have higher fares owing to the distance covered by the buses (Route no. 210 and above covering a minimum 15-20kms from city centre).
