murali772 - 24-NOV-2009

The Transport Policy draft released by the GoK is not exactly very inspiring.

Transport Dept making some right noises, finally

murali772 - 13-NOV-2009

Skip the queues and the touts. Just pay Rs 25 and put your feet up -- the dakiya will home-deliver your driving license and even registration certificate (RC) of your vehicle. And India Post has promised to deliver them in just two days after they are processed.

Unpaid traffic fines - a survey

s_yajaman - 29-OCT-2009

Was checking if there were any fines against my car's number at www.btis.in.  None.  Then I decided to do a random sampling of cars on unpaid fines.

Did a random sample of 100 cars across the 5 RTOs for unpaid violations and fine amounts.  This would be fairly representative as the number is quite large for a sample.

NEED HELP : Regarding nuisance to residents in DOMLUR

deepas345 - 22-OCT-2009

My husband and I are residents of Domlur 4th main. There is some drainage work going on since one month at the start of Domlur 4th main. This makes entry into 4th main really difficult. Also there is no sign board nor instructiions on which road to take to come inside. Secondly the Domlur club has a nuisance value in terms of all members parking cars in the road outside.

Some good intentioned work seems to have been kicked off on the Big10 corridor this side of the city. From what I can see, the HAL Airport Road, Varthur Road Big10 corridor is seeing some upgrades towards:

Auto strike...

rs - 12-OCT-2009

If only there was an auto strike every day ! The city is so much quieter and calmer. And traffic is so much more orderly....

I have nothing really against the notion of autorickshaws - I use them myself - but I believe they should

- obey traffic laws

- do their job correctly

- maintain their vehicles well

- not remove silencers etc.

Motor Vehicles Act 1988

sanjayv - 11-OCT-2009

This is actually an all India article.  I am posting it under Bangalore, Karnataka because this particular announcement is relevant to this state.
