Karnataka High Court Judgement on Land Acquisition for PRR

kizarmd786 - 14-SEP-2011

It is quite unfortunate that the Honourable High Court of Karnataka had quashed the BDA recent preliminary Notification for acquisition of 372 acres of land in connection with the formation of Peripheral Ring Road to ease the vehicular traffic. BDA wanted this extent of land for approach roads and Toll Plazas. Further, they needed land for forming FLY OVERS.

Lesson - Makeover of Lucknow's CBD street

Clive VanBuerle - 4-MAR-2011

Hazratganj, is the MG road of Lucknow – I visited recently since the wife is from Lucknow. I loved the old world feel of the city with its eco friendly cycle rickshaws, old stores, familiar bookstores etc – the cold north Indian December weather added to the “good feeling” but what really got me impressed was a brave project – the Hazrathganj makeover!

Road Cutting - Empower RWAs

Rithesh - 11-NOV-2010

In the current system if a person has to dig a road they have to get the permit from BBMP after paying the prescribed fees. The prescribe fees are high  - they are in the range of 1200 to 1500 per meter. For 40 feet road, it will cost as much as 15000 to 18000. Not to mention the additional convenience charges that one might have to pay to get the permit sooner.

I came to know about meeting with Praveen Sood. Hence my inputs are here for the meeting. All the best !

BDA dear, where is all the GIS/map data on Bangalore?

silkboard - 8-AUG-2010

It is frustrating, as well as shameful. For any thinking, planning, discussions, whether for us citizens, or the government, one basic thing needed in public domain is a map. Not talking a simple map, but something that shows boundaries and jurisdictions of local govenrments, and also its assets (fire stations, water pumping stations, police stations, roads, rails, parks, lakes etc etc).
