ORR has become a private bus boarding point GNT - 4-AUG-2012
I am not sure how many of you travel on ORR near Marathalli or pass through the area. Multiple private operators start their long distance routes from the junction and they park their vehicles on Marathalli ORR underpass from 6pm through 9pm.. |
Civil engineering greatness on ORR GNT - 4-MAY-2012
Hello Everyone, If you haven't experienced or haven't heard about this, there was a horrible traffic pile up on Wednesday morning on ORR underpass near the Cisco Offices and Prestige Tech Park. Because of the huge rain on Tuesday night, water accumulated at the bottom of the underpass and literally the water was a couple of inches short of knee deep. |
500c crowds thinning due to new flyovers? silkboard - 5-APR-2012
This is more of a hunch, based on observation during last two weeks. But as I commute into the city from Whitefield everyday, and get to see crowded 500c buses (Vajra) at around the same time everyday at Marathalli, I get this feeling that the 500c crowds have thinned a bit. |
Elevated 'through' corridor concept - a "plus" inside Outer Ring Road silkboard - 8-FEB-2012
Talking of vehicle movements, one need not addressed very well yet inside Bangalore city is separation of long-distance movements with local movements. Bangalore's hall of shame - 3rd class treatment for Bus commuters @ Marathahalli silkboard - 20-JUN-2011
Sometime ago, we discussed Bangalore hall of shame locations, and Marathahalli Outer Ring Road junction. Lobby for BRT in Bangalore - focus Big10, Circle routes? silkboard - 1-OCT-2010
First things first. If you don't like BRT, think it absolutely can't be done, please keep out, and discuss on other posts. This thread is for those who think that BRT in some sort or form (dedicated corridors, only at some places, or priority signals, or bus only magic boxes, or whatever) is needed for Bangalore, and can possibly be done. |
BDA and M/s Simplex Infra - Just Curious silkboard - 1-AUG-2010
Disclaimer first. Not pointing any fingers here, things are very likely to be squeky clean, and I only have the rights to ask as a citizen. Just curious, and want to know if anyone else noted that Simplex Infrastructure has been awarded almost all Outer Ring Road flyover projects coming up on South/East side of city. |
