Vajra route - Magadi Road to MG Road?

 I am a regular commuter of bmtc from magadi road. I am travelling 5 hours to and fro to reach my office in mg road. I would like better commuting facilities from bmtc. i would like you to initiate volvo bus service upto janapriya township.

Please ensure smooth flow of traffic from majestic to janapriya township.

 

Bus Day Corridors Route Map and Bus List

Here is the route map showing different BMTC routes leading to ITPL and Electronic City. For now only Vajra, Vayu Vajra and BIG-10 routes on these corridors are shown. Soon will provide information on other BMTC services including oridinary service also.

Metro /Mono Routes - Suggestions

Soil tests are being conducted in various parts of the city for Ph-2 of the Metro. Routes may be finalized based on results of soil tests, but the locations give a fair idea of how the routes are being planned.

There were a few concerns which I had & these are summarized in a letter & map with suggestions that has been forwarded to BMRC (via email).

Local shuttles and BMTC - Example Whitefield

Let me try a detailed example of how BMTC can extend the reach of its services, without adding tons of buses to its fleet. It involves investing in identified trunk routes, and then in planning local shuttles. Lets dig a bit deep into Whitefield.

Say we identify the trunk routes between Whitefield and rest of Bangalore as Southbound (towards Koramangala E-City, Westbound (towards CBD via Airport road), and Northbound (towards Banaswadi, Hennur). Call these trunk routes, and put a bus every 10-15 minutes on each. Here are the three routes (indicative, not exact):

When a major infrastructure project is underway, it is usual to see that a lot of services being disrupted. Bangalore Metro is no exception to this. We recently heard about no-parking regulation on MG Road to accommodate the work on the elevated track.
