APPIKO movement in Mysore to save boulevard on Lalitha Mahal Road

Vasanthkumar Mysoremath - 6-JUN-2009

Photograph of Appiko Movement by students, senior citizens and members of MGP. The number of trees proposed to be axed are confusing.  Almost every tree on this boulevard has been fixed with a red card, a number is written in chalk, scored with a cross and another number written.  Misleading the citizens.

Abhishek - Life down the drain

namma_nadu - 2-JUN-2009

On Sunday evening, another small boy was consumed by an uncovered storm water drain. The story is tragic and is compounded by the utter callousness of the authorities - the BBMP engineer went on record virtually blaming the mother for the mishap.

While intention of introducing the new class of service is good, the mean chosen to acheive it is 100 % bad.

Pros :

  • Provide cheaper PT for users with less income.

Cons:

Why stop at 250-storeys, Mr CM?

murali772 - 2-JUN-2009

A world-class 200-250 storey building and a garden around it. That is what may come up on the Bangalore Turf Club land. Yeddyurappa envisaged this structure during the Vikasa Sanaklp Utsav.
