Carrying Cycle on the Bus - ideas and options

Ever wonder what aspect of Cycle Day got most attention and interest around? It was the news about BMTC trying an experiment of allowing people to carry their cycles on the Bus. Since Volvo or similar low floor buses are the only ones where it is possible to carry cycles along without causing inconvenience to other commuters, this experiment is limited to those types of buses.

The 1st 'Feel Bengaluru Cycle Day'

Amidst all the press that BMTC is getting recently, one thing that caught attention was talk of mini buses, shuttles and feeder routes. As we all know, feeder plans, and solid execution of first/last mile connects can help increase usage of BMTC as well as (future) metro.

With uncontrolled influx of people into Namma Bengaluru,  more and more people are using the BMTC buses.  One can find young women rushing to board buses, however crowded they may be, with the sole intention of reaching their destinations.
