Department of Urban Land Transportation (DULT) in GOK had called a meeting with all the stake holders of 'Commuter Rail' to discuss the 2012 RITES report on Implementing Commuter Rail Service in Bangalore.

Bangalore - Mysore Track Doubling & Electrification - when? eralilebby - 3-OCT-2012
I regularly commute between Mysore and Bangalore both by Road and Rail. While it takes roughly between 3 to 4 hours by road depending upon the time and traffic, train takes between 2 to 3 hours even with the tracks being only partially doubled. So the need of the hour is to fast track the doubling and electrification of this section to bring down the travel time between 1&1/2 to 2 hours. |

It is a very sad scene each time I pass by this major point of Whitefield. The railway crossing connecting Kadugodi population and the Bus stand is causing lot of difficulties for all. At any given time there will be a goods train waiting, with endless carriages, waiting for signal. It makes life difficult for all age a difficult process to cross over. |
