What does Bangalore have in common with Bombay, Calcutta, Madras and Gurgaon?

 

The most obivous thing that comes to mind about the commonality is that the names of all these cities have changed! They are Bengaluru, Chennai,Mumbai, Kolkota and Gurugram.

We came "this" close to going dry this summer. How close? Don't really know, but the word is that if rains had arrived 10 days later, we would have hit that point. But now that rains are here, newspapers, BWSSB, KNNL (Neeravari Nigam) will all move on and wait for a crisis to approach next year or year after depending on when we would have the next monsoon shortfall.

I have a question regarding operation of sewage treatment plants in apartments. 

I live in a community which has 300+ flats, and we have constant complaints on the sewage treatment plant from the KSPCB. One of the major complaints is about the treated water being thrown out to the storm water drain.

So finally the exclusive rights of JUSCO for water supply have been removed. But it was the CM who had to make the call.

Can we find out more about why? Because this is exactly the way usurious profits are made.  and water is not a place where profits should be made. Water is a basic human need. Please refer:

Some good advise. Makes a lot of sense. But how long will it be before our actions start making sense too?
