All government utility or infrastructure providers have systems to listen from citizens:

Petrol Unavailability and reduction of vehicles

Vasanth - 10-JAN-2009

Because of the unavilability of Petrol and Diesel, so many vehicles have reduced on the road and people are tending to use public transport and autos. There are long queues in Petrol Bunks and it is annoying to stand in such long queues. People are feeling it is better to take the bus or auto until it settles down.

Janaagraha's awareness program - why not online?

silkboard - 8-JAN-2009

Yet another email from Janaagraha announcing their Citizen Awareness Program (CAP) set me thinking about them. What if Janaagraha were to convert their CAP from classroom sessions to online webinars? Think an interactive website where citizens learn the art of participation themselves, on their own time, and at their own pace.

roshanrk - 6-JAN-2009

The garbage collection has stopped happening at my apartment a few weeks ago. The people who used to come to do it were demanding 50 Rs per house per month!

Missing the bus

SB_YPR - 2-JAN-2009

Hi, Warm greetings to all of you for the new year. I have been reading the posts on this forum for a while now, and today I decided to take the plunge myself.
The BMRC has been hyping on integration with other modes of transport right from the beginning. Sadly, they have overlooked two crucial spots where integration would have been of great help, on the East-West corridor.

Moving the capital out of Bangalore

ashwin - 2-JAN-2009

This is an idea that has been discussed before, including on this forum. I am coming from the view not of the governance structure of Bangalore (autonomy etc) which is an orthogonal issue, but of the power of such a move to take the pressure off Bangalore.
