silkboard - 28-AUG-2008

bus stand 1Entropy, aka chaos on the roads is a subject we have discussed a lot here. There are about a hundred comments thrown across various posts. How about consolidating those points and making them more presentable via picture posts? Here is my attempt with pictures over last two months. Look, we need to explain and understand one thing very clearly. Flyovers and road widening projects are like buying extra large clothes to deal with obesity. Some folks prefer exercises or medicines to shed some fat.

Vasanth - 25-AUG-2008

Lot of Bangalore IT companies develop software for American, UK or German insurance companies. But, our own country is deprived of these kind of insurance to all. People who work in IT are covered by their companies. Government employees are covered by some schemes or the other. Few factories are covered by CGHS scheme.

Bangalore Traffic Woes, avoid ad hoc solutions please!

psaram42 - 25-AUG-2008

Bangalore, keeping in pace with other cities in the world, has grown exponentially over the past half a century. The Key question while planning traffic solutions for such a growing city obviously would be “how to account for possible future growth?” Bangalore has a very good example in the Kempe Gouda Towers. Kempe Gouda had in his wisdom estimated the boundaries of Bangalore and built the Towers known after him.
