How about consolidating those points and making them more presentable via picture posts? Here is my attempt with pictures over last two months. These youth will participate in the 18 day train journey interacting with social and economic entrepreneurs across the country thus encouraging the spirit of social entrepreneurship. |
Landfill unit begins operation murali772 - 27-AUG-2008
After much protest from the public, landfill site for hazardous wastes developed by the State government in Dobbespet has started its operation. Hyderabad based Ramky Environmental Management Pvt Ltd, the service provider at the site, has been collecting hazardous waste from industries, since June 19, this year. So far the service provider has collected 1,800 tonnes of hazardous waste. The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board has entrusted the job of lifting the waste and dumping the same at the landfill unit in Dobbespet, to the service provider. |

India is a growing economy with emerging intelligent and talented people who are rendering their services mostly to the west either directly staying there or offline from India, particularly Bangalore. Lot of Bangalore IT companies develop software for American, UK or German insurance companies. But, our own country is deprived of these kind of insurance to all. People who work in IT are covered by their companies. Government employees are covered by some schemes or the other. Few factories are covered by CGHS scheme. |

Bangalore, keeping in pace with other cities in the world, has grown exponentially over the past half a century. The Key question while planning traffic solutions for such a growing city obviously would be “how to account for possible future growth?” Bangalore has a very good example in the Kempe Gouda Towers. Kempe Gouda had in his wisdom estimated the boundaries of Bangalore and built the Towers known after him. |

THE Right to Information Act makes it obligatory on the part of the Government to educate the public about RTI. By this time the Central and State Governments should have published user guides to help citizens use RTI effectively. Now after three years, there is talk of introducing RTI in the school syllabus.
