Rithesh - 4-AUG-2009

BMLTA has come up with a draft pedestrian and parking policy. The vision seams to be in the right direction with emphasis is on pedestrians infrastructure including footpaths and crossings.

Enforcing traffic fines

Thought of this idea (may not be first!) to ensure people pay up their traffic fines.  It is based a few premises

Focus needed on Metro Stations...

NH7 to BIAL - A sea change

s_yajaman - 4-JUN-2009

I have been traveling on the NH7 to BIAL for the past 1 year and decided to make this post on how my experience has changed since May 2008.  It is also a tribute to the Bangalore Traffic Police's efforts to make the commute a safer one.  We often have nothing but the harshest words for our bureaucrats (and I am no exception), but we need to give them their due when they do a good job

The precious little "No violation slip"

christopher - 11-MAR-2009

Yesterday a very interesting thing happened. While driving on the road, before the never ending construction of Kadugodi railway overbridge, I was ushered by a group of traffic police standing on the roadside to stop. This was right infront of the Whitefield traffic police station.

Enforcers / Violators?

Ravi_D - 6-MAR-2009

Last evening’s drive home was interesting.

Commendable effort by Traffic Police

Going west on Mysore road past ring road junction, you climb up a fairly steep gradient to get to Nayandahalli bus stop. As usual, where three lanes merge into two you see a bus stop. With busses stopped next to each other, it is almost a perennial traffic jam situation.
