CBD NMT DPR - For your comments idontspam - 23-JUL-2011
Below is the Final Draft Detailed Project Report for provisioning NMT facilities in the MG road area & surroundings. This is not an official public consultation but I have taken permission from DULT to put up this DPR for review by Praja members. As a part of the Task force Praja has to provide comments by 28th July, (next Thursday).

Bicycle Parking - enabling safety and security of Cycles muralihr - 8-JUL-2011
One of the important things to enable Bicycling is to have Bicycle Parking which is safe and secure . Not having safe parking is a major barrier. Ride a Cycle Foundation feels that atleast important areas like Lalbagh should have bicycle parking facilities. |

I came across a great initiative by some of the Praja members, to help promote cycling in the city. In addition to designing cycling lanes and stations at metro, it will be great idea to identify parking bays in CBD and other places in Bangalore to securely store our bikes. |

Looking for information if there are any plans for a bicycle/joggers track around Hebbal lake. There is a proposal to have a bicycle track from Mekhri circle to Nandi hills for the regular recreational bikers. This can easily be integrated into that track |

Bicycle Lanes in Bellandur ward Sivaprasad Valappil - 12-APR-2011
I just joined Praja group and am excited to be part of it! At my area (Bellandur , Sarjapur Outer Ring Road), we have formed a cyclists group and we are planning to request for bicycle lanes on roads. It will be of great help if someone can provide me some directions / guidelines if they have done it before on their area . Thanks a lot! |
