Hi, This is my initiative to understand the current state of all lakes in bangalore. I think this year 2010, i will visit each lake and get the photos of them and post in a blog. This we can use it in our future references. Somehow I feel that the lakes in bangalore are dwindling and I am not doing anything about it. This is my attempt towards it. |

BBMP has launched a website containing the data base of all the lakes within the BBMP limits. There are a total of 196 lakes listed, along with classification like dry, clean, polluted etc with accompanying pictures. Brainstorming Session on Conservation and Management of Urban Lakes - A Report sanjayv - 27-SEP-2009
The meeting was held in CiSTUP seminar room from 9 am to 5 pm. The room was full with a good complement of students. We had the initial round of formalities followed by morning tea/breakfast The morning session had several speakers discusing various aspects of urban lake conservation after which we had an afternoon discussion/brainstorming session |
