GoK to implement report on land grabbing

The Jagadish Shettar government is considering a proposal to revive the AT Ramaswamy committee report on encroachment of government land in Bangalore. The committee had unearthed over 40,000 acres of land worth Rs 50,000 crore encroached in and around Bangalore.

If the statue (Ambedkar) is not shifted, the TBMs will have to be dismantled again at Vidhana Soudha station, towards the Vikasa Soudha gate, and parts have to be taken by shafts and launched from General Post Office end; the distance between these two stations being only a few meters would mean time and cost overrun.

I went ahead and read through the ruling to understand the logic behind the decision taken.  It is a 15 page ruling, and in my opinion, a very poor piece of work.
