traffic signal violations- need info saamk - 23-JUN-2010
hi... m new here, don't know whether this is the proper section to post this, two days back my friend was riding his 2 wheeler in jayanagar 4th block area. he crossed the signal when it was green but after a second or so it turned red.. Two traffic police were standing on the road side but he managed to speed up and run away as there were other vehicle the traffic police was attending to... the police keeps yelling and possibly note down the reg. number. Now he's worried what kind of charges he might face... he didn't stop the vehicle(after signal jump) coz he was in a hurry moreover he doesn't have cash at that time to pay for the spot fine which the police would have demanded.. now he's worried as they note down the his number.. what kind of charges/fines he would face. plz give some ideas or suggestions in this matter. regards |

I'm posting this on behalf of Vivek Reddy of the BJP Legislative cell. Vivek is gathering inputs for a reform to the current Fire-safety laws and their enforcement. How do we track this MoA ? Is it available on Web? What is the locus standi of USTDA to sign this? seems like 20 crores of objectives with which the US TDA will squeeze MUCH more out of Bangalore, despite all the backlash USAID, DFID, cioties Alliance, WB and Janaagraha have got already (see opposition to the GBWASP MoU) Seems like a major health hazard like Radon gas in Borewell water also squeezed past all the research till now, while the Palike is still sinking more borewells since the BWSSB is not able to supply enough water. This kind of unhindered growth is unsustainable and must stop, but we shd slow it down first. The problem started with the 270 mld which came in 2002 Suddenly all felt there was enough water and a boom in construction and that caused the major mismatch in the common resources drawn or available PA

BMTC New 35th & 36th Bus Depots Sunil Kumar - 27-MAY-2010
Hi, I was browsing thru BMTC website & notices they have put Depot No. 35 & 36. Would anyone know if these depots are operational. I have not heard about the ingauration in newspapers also. If it is true that the new depots are operation then our Bangalore commuters can breathe in ease for a more comfortable travel. I guess Bangalore will be having the highest inter-city public transport service.

Compound wall crack due to neighbour' s borewell digging - issued resolved ahumanbean - 2-MAR-2010
Crack in the compound wall issue seems to be resolved, temporarily. Other RTI + Lok Ayuktha files, will have be be followed up in due course. Another huge grey area seems to be that very few citizens are aware of permissions that are / are not needed before a borewell can be sunk. The 'consultant's digging the borewell of course make all the rules up...! |
