CPI(M) manifesto - misleading facts and too broad?

Writing this to point out what fact based means, this post is inspired by TN Ninnan's editorial in Saturday's Business Standard. He picked out a few statements from CPI-M's new election website, and argued that a few of them are not supported by facts, or even observations. Mr Ninnan has picked out certain statements from CPI-M manifesto (here), and taken objections to them:

This morning's 30-35 minute commute took over two hours. I come to office, and find it empty. All thanks to BSP's rally at Palace Grounds today. This is the state on eastern suburbs, I wonder what would be the situation in central areas of the city.

Read a very sensible letter to editor in DH yesterday (forget the name, sorry). It said something I so agree with. Whats this "100 days of government" business? I was disappointed to see Yeddy even trying to list 100-day achievements via newspaper ads. And then media asking for opinions on 100-days. Can a meaningful as well as visible change be caused by a state government in just over three months? Aren't we impatient if we expect that? Doesn't this impatience put pressure on elected folks to do the same short-sighted things that we later

ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷದ ನಾಟಕಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಗಿದು ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳು ಮನೇಲಿ ಬೆಚ್ಚಗೆ ಕೂತಿರೋದರಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಲಾಭ ಅಂದರೆ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಗಾಲು ಹಾಕುವವರು ಕಮ್ಮಿಯಾಗಿ ಸುಮಾರು ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ಬೇಗ ಬೇಗ ಮುಗೀತಾ ಇವೆ. ಹಾಗೋ ಹೀಗೋ ಬಿಡಿಎ ನವರು ಒಂದಿಷ್ಟು underpassಗಳು ಮಾಡ್ತಾ ಇದಾರೆ, airport ಕೆಲಸ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನಡೆದು, ಜಾಸ್ತಿ ಗಲಾಟೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಗಿದಿದೆ. ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಟಕದ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲದೇ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ನಡಿತಾ ಇತ್ತು ಅನ್ನೊದಂತೂ ನಿಜ.
