Private vehicles in India account for 67.5% of motorised vehicles, carry 37% of the commuters and take up 67% of the road width. Buses account for 24.5% of motorised vehicles on the road and carry around 61% commuters, taking up 38% road width.

Any info on ORR between mysore road and magadi road

Anyone knows here the recent updates of magadi-mysore road ring road. (http://bangalore.praja.in/en/blog/ravi-d/2009/04/06/mysore-magadi-outer-ring-road-complete). As per my understanding the ring road and its service roads are completed but flyovers at magadi road junction and mysore road junction are not yet completed. If anybody knows the status of these flyovers can mention here.

Only 800 BMTC buses have bilingual destination boards, while the remaining 4000-odd regular buses have Kannada only boards. It is the top political leadership that appears to be standing in the way.

ORR choking near KR Puram station - one reason

Speaking of KRPuram shouldnt this entire length be only 2 lanes wide? Why are they allowing the use of the entire pancreatic bulge before the chicken neck? There should only be as many lanes as allowable for the entire stretch. So what do the "engineers" in the BBMP think when they lay asphalt? Do they know their profession has a meaning?

KR Puram Bus Stand - Does it exist?

I would like to share with you all a bitter experience. On Saturday I was in KR Puram area at around 5pm & was waiting for a bus to Hebbal. It started to pour I would not believe there is no shelter for passangers to stand at all. It poured for over 1 hour I had to cross the road & stand under the ATM counter for a roof.

Dear all, i am basically tumkur city resident, but working in bangalore in private sector. like me thousands people are working in bangalore who are depends on train and buses for travel regulary.

in these days, tumkur is also developing like any thing as people are preferring that to save some money in their regular earnings.

It carries 4.2 lakh passengers a day that is three times of the Delhi Metro which is more than thrice as long. It is faster too.
