Which Metro Route To Airport Is Better?

Naveen - 25-JUN-2016

No decision has been taken yet for a metro route to airport. As per latest reports, BMRC is keen on the Thannisandra-Bagalur route (past Nagawara) since it saves on distance and since there is pressure to include airport connectivity by metro rail as part of phase-2 itself.

Controversy brewing over commuter rail, Metro to blame?

silkboard - 21-JUN-2012

Time to indulge in some talk on Namma Railu aka Commuter Rail Service (CRS). RITES has submitted a report to DULT last week. Sources claim that Rs 3000-4000 Crore can give Bangalore a 15 minute lead time commuter rail system covering 200 odd kms of distance. We will validate this once the RITES report is made public.

Metro Underground - Who Is Gaining the Expertise?

pdk - 19-NOV-2011

Came across this report in DH:  Metro’s Phase-I unlikely to meet deadline.  From June 2012, to December 2013, to March 2014 and now December 2014, though Mr Sreehari admits anything before mid-2015 is a pipedream.
