If one looks at BBMP, BMTC, BDA and the works they underatke each one tells a tale of how not to execute the projects in the right manner. Magic boxes, MMTC's, flyovers without service roads all are examples of our state/city bureacrats professionlism and talent. Looking at these projects one would wonder if at all we as Indians do know how to build things right.

About projects on Praja

Projects on Praja provide an opportunity for members to coordinate and perform on ground and online. Each project group has its own announcements, events calendar, petitions etc. In addition, each project group has tasks that can be assigned to individual members.  Project on Praja provide collaborative tools for members to communicate and manage actions.

For example, a simple project might involve obtaining information through RTIs from a government department. In such a project members can create events for deadlines, announcements to report progress, create tasks for collecting necessary data etc. A list of current projects on Praja can be found here. Currently, the projects on Praja have to be created by an administrator. This is to ensure that each project meets a basic standard of feasibility, focus and coherence. If you want to start a project, use the contact form (select I want to start a project)  to contact the administrators. Please clearly state the objective of the project and a tentative approach you wish to follow.

Pwe this 21/Oct item 'Palike to upload civic works info online' DH reports a laudable effort by BBMP.

Once it is done (I'd really hope that it will), info on all road related projects will be on GIS Maps, up on their website.
