Thissection is an attempt to change public transport by bus.and other vehicles. However, an overarching vision is lacking.  Many new categories are introduced in the place of existing categories, but it is not clear that the existing problems of the sector are fully addressed.

This blog is for some high level feedback on the draft transportation and safety law 2014.  While the tone of this blog will be critical on focus on the improvements, there are certainly many good features in the draft law.  The brief and critical focus is to keep our eyes on the suggested improvements.

The connecting road from Hoskote to Hope Farm area of Whitefield Bangalore has been relayed beautifully by the authorities.

The work has been done in such a way that the road till the Kadugodi Over Bridge is smooth and in a drivable condition.

A draft road transport and safety bill is posted on the MORTH website. Click here to see the draft.  It is a long, long piece of legislation by Indian standards, about 305 pages.

There seems to be a perception in India that nightlife is all about pubs and discotheques. Is it true actually or is there much more to nightlife than just drinking and dancing?

Vizag seems to be showing a different way and ensuring that its denizens are able to enjoy a nightlife sans crime and needless police patrolling.

The pictures below offer two views of a dig-up (on 12th main, HAL 2nd stage, Indiranagar, adjacent to Corner House), obviously by BWSSB, to access their manhole cover, the top of which has gone almost a foot below the re-tarred road surface.

LEDs on Vehicles - Regulations = better safety for all?

With LEDs becoming cheaper, many have started fitting LEDs to vehicles as decorations.

If fitted with care and some common sense they can look attractive and improve the vehicle's visibility.

The problem starts with people using random colors and placing them on random parts of the vehicle.

I saw a taxi cab with flashing blue and red LEDs on the windscreen.
