Getting the economics of solar power right murali772 - 5-JUL-2015
Narendra Modi has raised the target for solar electric capacity from 20,000MW to 100,000MW by 2022 at a cost of maybe $100 billion. This is a serious blunder. It will sabotage his “Make in India” plans by technically disrupting the whole electricity grid, and raising the cost of a critical manufacturing input — electricity. |
Questions regarding a Solar Grid Tied Inverter Development & Deployment raju@solar - 14-JUL-2013
We are a group of two Electronics Engineers working from past several months on building a GTI (Grid Tie Inverter).

Unlimited cheap, clean, safe and commercial energy from atomic fusion psaram42 - 29-APR-2013
Our Sun is the lone star in our solar system. Sun is virtually a fusion bomb fusing hydrogen into helium to produce white light. It thus contains mostly helium. However other heavier molecules of oxygen and even Iron are supposed to exist there in the solar region. Click - 1 |

Roof Top Solar PV System for residences - my experience Shankar Sharma - 18-MAY-2012
I noticed some discussions on Roof Top Solar PV System for residences. I would like to share my experience and assumptions. I have installed a SPV system on my roof top as a back up to grid supply 4 years ago, and is functioning satisfactorily although some improvements in the overall operation of the system is desirable and achievable. |
Pushing Solar Power usage - ideas to take to KREDL, BESCOM silkboard - 16-MAY-2012
Through our personal experiences here, and after hearing from a few professionals and tech guys in the field, we have some understanding of hurdles and possibilities here, on increasing adoption of Solar Power. Are govt agencies doing enough to 1) promote this as "green" power, 2) use Solar as a way to fill the supply shortage? We don't know. |

Solar power - rooftop, grid-connect, community grid, 3 diff things silkboard - 1-APR-2012
Sanjay and IDS are already at it on another post (Solar - connected to Grid). Sorry guys, keep it on there, but I thought a primer on slightly varying type of talks on the subject may help. There seems to be a need for incentives, policy push and awareness on these three types of scenarios. |
