The secret owners of the secreted monies operate in secrecy — venal businessmen, corrupt politicians, public servants, drug lords, and criminal gangs like the D-company. The slush monies are the financial RDX for terror, besides weapons of mass destruction of national and global finance. That there is secret money is no more a secret. This morning I got this email fwd from a friend in the US, calling citizens to gather at cubbon park,  and express their feeling with the terror attacks in Mumbai. Yes, the past few days I have been tracking this news across the prominent national TV channels. My blood boils, my heart broke on seeing the the Taj Palace burn.

For this only two steps are necessary: end politicisation and rid the police and the intelligence and security agencies of corruption.

Who is not stunned? Writing more about the incident from terrorism angle will lead to needless rambling. I have only one question to ask, from the angle of law and order. Isn't it time for Police Reforms, and overhaul of our internal security systems?

Blasts in bangalore - city in turmoil

Just heard that there are 5-7 blasts in bangalore. Folks, take care. Stay put wherever you are and wait for police clearance to leave your offices or wherever you are.

[Update: 3:30 pm It started with reports and SMS'es of low intensity blasts on Mysore road and Madivala in 1:30 pm - 2 pm timeframe. They say its 5 - 7 blasts around the city so far, mostly in South Bangalore areas. Some information on rediff on this. There is some unclarity around exact number (5-7) and specific areas of blast beyond Nayanadahalli, Madivala, Langford which have been confirmed by many. Keep watching TV and media sites.]
