I was wondering, why not create an "Electronic Tree Exchange" right here on Praja. The aim of this should be simple - exchange trees between people instead of killing them outright. For example, a mall feels having a fully grown Gulmohar tree is blocking it's access and wants to take it down. But in another part of a city, a citizen has space for the tree in his/her plot. The mall can post details of the tree and the citizen interested could take it from the mall at the cost of the citizen or any other arrangment between the donor and taker. person mcadambi's post | forum 3 Comments | Read More

Tree vandalisation, suspect - Lifestyle 07/21/08 12:18 - murali772
[flickr-photo:id=2684504771,size=m][flickr-photo:id=2685305034,size=m] Malls are a reality in today's world, whether one is prepared to accept them or not. While the main grouse against them is that they cause severe congestion, particularly when located at already busy traffic junctions without sufficient attention having been paid to channelise the increased traffic flow, there would, on the other hand, certainly be a fairly large section of the local population who welcome their presence in such close proximity. The Oasis mall in Koramangala is one such, about which debates on similar lines can go on endlessly. person murali772's post | forum 14 Comments | Read More
