Hello,

A few thoughts and suggestions on the BMTC Bus services in the Whitefield-KR Puram- ORR areas.

1. Whitefield Saarige (WFS) service - At the outset, this is an excellent idea and it should be promoted more. But the current WFS routes are duplication of existing 500/335/333 routes. That is, the buses start from Marathahalli and go towards ITPL via either of the two routes.

Suggestion - Change route of WFS-2 to : KR Puram --> Hoody Circle --> right turn --> Graphite India --> Brookefields --> Left turn at Kundalahalli gate --> Till Forum value mall on Varthur Road.

Advantages - Varthur Road to KR Puram Tin factory connection; No duplication with any existing routes.

2. ITPL - Koramangala - Dairy circle - Jayanagar 4th Block service - Currently there is only 411L which goes from ITPL to Shanti nagaar via K'gala. This service is very infrequent. Lot of IT people stay in K'gala and I guess there will be good patronage for this service if frequency is increased and it is well-publicised.

3. Vijayanagara - Vijayanagara circular routes (S-1 and S-2 routes) - I see a few Tata-Marcopolos running on this newly created circular routes. The S-2 route (Vijayanagara --> thru the city/old airport road --> marathahalli --> right turn --> ORR --> Belandur --> Agara --> CSB --> Vijayanagara ) is a duplication of the 500 series of buses from Marathahalli onwards. Instead, make S-1, not as a circular route, but as regular service from Belandur to Vijayanagara thru Marathahalli/Old Airport road. With the existing fleet of buses, frequency can be doubled thus ensuring more reliability. There is a demand for buses from the IT corridor in Belandur towards old airport road and this new route can cater to this demand.
