Hello, A few thoughts and suggestions on the BMTC Bus services in the Whitefield-KR Puram- ORR areas. 1. Whitefield Saarige (WFS) service - At the outset, this is an excellent idea and it should be promoted more. But the current WFS routes are duplication of existing 500/335/333 routes. That is, the buses start from Marathahalli and go towards ITPL via either of the two routes. Suggestion - Change route of WFS-2 to : KR Puram --> Hoody Circle --> right turn --> Graphite India --> Brookefields --> Left turn at Kundalahalli gate --> Till Forum value mall on Varthur Road. Advantages - Varthur Road to KR Puram Tin factory connection; No duplication with any existing routes.

Bus Day - feedback and Suggestion Srivatsava - 23-APR-2010
We have a meeting fixed up with BMTC to discuss the feedback recieved over the last three Bus days, the lessons learnt, the actions/initiaves taken by BMTC in adressing the issues and any suggestions that can be taken up for the further editions of the Bus Day. BMTC Issues - From RCA perspective Bheema.Upadhyaya - 8-FEB-2010
Getting a cue from this suvery I thought why not analyse (to some extent) from Root Cause Analysis perspective of TQM (Total Quality Management)? According to RCA we should find further causes of further levels. So I am trying to just draft out whatever I think. Some of these may be just my imaginations or may feel too theoritical, as we can not understand issues from driver and conductors perspective. I am of hope that this may create some leads towards solutions not any solution as such. I am imagining survey Question as effects. However I am not analyzing any one from survey questions. But I am taking another simple effect ie, Buses not stopping in bus stops. This creates difficulties for a passenger, specially big problems for kids, pregnant ladies, senior citizens. BIAL Experiences & suggestions for improvements based on those experiences bialterminal - 14-JUL-2008
2 first hand experiences my in-laws: Arrived at BIA from Mumbai for the 1st time at BIA. Were very impressed by the new airport. Found the arrivals area very clean, spacious and functional. Were initially skeptical of the distance of the airport from the city. But, were very happy with the bus connectivity provided by BMTC. Took the bus and got off in an hour at Mekhri circle hence did not mind the distance. my wife: |

A "whats next" type discussion has been pending for sometime now, how about we start one. To kick it off, here are the two broad thoughts what got us started in the first place:
=> Need for a platform to enable citizens to be activists in their areas of concern and interest. Platform as in enable and equip, with information, pointers, complaint numbers, contacts of relevant people, success/failure stories and alike.
