Hi All
Karnataka has seen a major development in KRSTC , BMTC and in their services.. A major investment has been made on luxury buses (Volvo, Marcopolo, Mercedes and many more) and also on the infrastructure on the bus stand, plus not to forget the GPRS services.
Online booking of tickets has helped a major commuters and mainly IT crowd.
Hi All
Karnataka has seen a major development in KRSTC , BMTC and in their services.. A major investment has been made on luxury buses (Volvo, Marcopolo, Mercedes and many more) and also on the infrastructure on the bus stand, plus not to forget the GPRS services.
Online booking of tickets has helped a major commuters and mainly IT crowd.
But there is something missing which is bring a major chaos in the smooth operation.
" Public annoucement services" - Similar to railways use.
This is going to solve the below issue
1. Commuters are not aware of the platform which the buses have arrived. (Commuter are given the timings of the buses ( 22:30 Chennai volvo))
2. Conduters doesnt need to look for the missing commuters. (They generally shout and look for passengers).
3. The TT ( not sure ,what they call them) dont have to answer all the queries and also manage the buses.
I faced this issue last week in Shanti Nagar Bus stand and happend to miss the bus even after reaching the bus stand an hour before the scheduled time of the bus.
I am not sure, how i can take this up with the KSRTC and maybe this can be a business idea, which can be implemented.
Very much willing to work on the project..
Can anyone suggest a way forward..

@Prince : Right way is to lodge a complaint

You could right away file a complaint with BMTC.
a) Call this toll-free number 1800-425-1663 (Your wait time would be ranging from few seconds upto 25 mins, so make provisions)
b) Give the details you furnished here
c) Do not forget to note down the complaint number which will be like 12 digit alfanumeric hard number, so while calling have paper/pen ready. They will not SMS or email complaint number :(
d) Usually they take one or two days to communicate and act.
e) Give reminders by calling same numbers one or two times. Be ready with your complaint number. They will not be able to provide without that number.
f) Finally if no action taken, inform them that you will take RTI route. They will act.
g) Each time when you call make sure that you ask "When will be action taken?"
h) Finally you can know the real (in writing) status with an RTI query, iff you are specific regarding action taken.
All the best :) That would be a project by itself !
finally : This is not right thread for posting .
