Here is what WIKIPIDEA says about Ramoji Film City. “Ramoji Film City (RFC) is the world’s largest integrated film studio complex at over 2,000 acres (8.1 km2) of land [1]. It is also a popular tourism and recreation centre, containing both natural and artificial attractions including an amusement park. It is situated near Hayathnagar and Peddamberpet on Hyderabad - Vijayawada, NH9 highway, about 25 km from Hyderabad. The Outer Ring Road Phase 2 has acquired lands at the entrance and is set to intersect the city.[2][3]

The serial is picturized  in a local kannada dialect popular in north Karnataka. Rajaji Nagar area of the city of Bangalore is inhabited by people in numbers who speak this dialect.. As such Mahanavami is very popular in whole of Rajajinagar.

The state of Karnataka contains most of the land ruled by the Mysore Maharajas in olden British raj days. It was famous for the excellent rule of the Mysore Maharajas. It was famous for its arts and cultural heritage patronized by these rulers. As a general rule of thumb the south of Vindhaya Mountains was spared by the constant attacks of Arabs, Mughals etc speaking the Persian / urdu languages. This way probably were the Chinese who built the Great wall of China to protect themselves with.

Why is Mahanavami plot important?

The main reason for its importance may be the relevance of the basic system of lively hood in those days. It was akin to the natural ecosystem. By eliminating physical labor by introduction of tractors and other machinery the whole body of laborers were left hanging in poverty. Imagine Sunita Williams 8 months of ordeal in space to keep her muscles from dying due to absence of exercise needed. The mechanization and industrial revolution has darker side too as a coin has two sides. Innovation is good food for the brain no doubt. What are the implications of innovating to become richer and thus spreading poverty else where?

These are some of the issues serials like Mahanavami are attempting to address. I am closing this entry Wishing Rekaha Kakhdki and the whole M team a resounding success. This serial could not have come at a more appropriate time!
