BMTC new website mybmtc.com - reviews
srinidhi - 8 May, 2013 | Bangalore | BMTC | website | Bus | Review | Bus
mybmtc.com has opened to public and TOI mentions about it as below:
The focus of the new portal, mybmtc.com, is in understanding the pulse of its new-generation commuters and tapping technology to its advantage. It provides information on how to plan trips, classes of services, routes, timings and details of various types of concessional benefits.
My first thougths about the site is :
- As I understand it is mainly for "information on how to plan trips, classes of services, routes, timings", but on the internet web site the links for the same is tucked away in one corner..as though it an additional service..it has to get more focus..
- Trip planner algorithm needs a re-look as its not very efficient in its current version..especially if there is hop/break in your trip..
Lets collate our grouses here..which can be some good feedback to them..

Realtime Bus Info more valuable
Vasanth - 8 May, 2013 - 12:31
I am not sure about the timings they have posted on the website, if it is really true or not.
Realtime bus info like Mysore would be more helpful. This is old wine in new bottle.
Mobile Site better?
srinidhi - 8 May, 2013 - 14:31
http://m.mybmtc.com/ is the mobile site..can be accessed by your computers too..
This seems to be simple and more focussed to its objectives..
One more observation on the UI is that it doesnt looks like a govt corpn website..layout more looks like a hack site or poorly designed site..I was watching the display boards of KSRTC booking shops in the city today and their looks are much better and more govt like..
BUS ROUTES
pathykv - 9 May, 2013 - 14:21
From Indiranagar to Shanthinagar there are two routes- 7E & 38. The frequency of these routes is very low. Now the KSRTC buses to several destinations start from Shanthinagar. Hence it is essential to have more frequency of these routes, Also some more routes need to be introduced for this section.
Thanks.

When I filed complaints on
abidpqa - 28 December, 2013 - 12:05
When I filed complaints on the old bmtc site (already forgottene its name), I got acknowledgement from the website administrator (bhasin.in) that too automatic reply, not any BMTC official. NO official address of officers are given in the domain karnataka.gov.in or similar. No followup messages were received after that. Without official addresses, it is not even sure if our complaints are read by the officiers concerned.
