Looking for Bescom on google I got the Bescom portal [1] I was quite impressed with the landing page to see a sign in box.

Task - special landing page for DDC

Some of us are thinking about doing a special landing page for Disciplined Driver's Club (DDC) campaign. Think of a page like praja.in/ddc (warning, the page isn't there yet). The page will have a pledge form, and more features like upload pictures, forward the pledge etc. Starting this post more as a task to track this DDC landing page.

Dear readers, and supporters of Praja. We have started a new drive to better organize and present content contributed by users on this website. As part of that, we are planning a new "how to" self-help feature on Praja.in. Examples of "how to" would be things like - "how do I apply for khata", or "how to buy a BMTC monthly pass", or "how to complain about an overcharging auto", basicaly just about any experience that we can share around in dealing with govt or public agencies. Please provide your review and feedback to help tune this feature.

I came across this article on slashdot (a tech site). It's an excellent idea that is working for a lot of communities.

Is this something that can work in Bangalore? This a great way to report issues such that they are visible to everyone. The reports that are in the newspaper are easily forgotten. But this way it will remain until fixed.

We will also be able to guage the responsiveness of our local governments.

Site Notice - tech work during December

This isn't to scare anyone. Website will stay operational, with minimal impact, but just wanted to announce that we plan to work on some long pending tech issues (navigation, projects, gyan etc) during December.

New feature - search Bengaluru related sarkaari websites

No big deal this, but we have put up a new feature wherein you can search through all well known Bengaluru related public websites. Its essentially a list of all sarkaari websites pointed out by the geeks of Praja.in put inside a "custom search" widget that will search only this universe of 25-30 websites.
